Lesson 5 - Gas Usage Report with DG Technologies
1. From the Project Menu, click on the name of the scenario for which you want to run the report.
2. Click on "View Energy Reports".

3. There are a number of options when applying DG technologies. All of the options are listed under the "Apply DG Technologies" section:

- Select what type of report you would like to view - Choose "Monthly Gas"

- Select which types of parcels should have DG technologies applied to them.

- Select a DG Deployment Objective. Selecting a DG deployment objective will automatically select the appropriate DG technologies from the box to the right of the deployment objectives. The DG technologies include Fuel Cells, Gas Turbines, Internal Combustion Engines, Microturbine Generators and Photovoltaics. It is also possible to manually check/uncheck boxes next to the various DG technologies.

- Select a DG Deployment Ranking. The deployment ranking helps determine which type and size of each of the DG technologies is applied.

- Select which types of parcels should have energy efficiencies applied to them.

Now click on "Generate Report". The report will take a few minutes to generate.

4. The report shows monthly gas energy usage by place type and reflects DG technologies applied to newly developed and/or redeveloped parcels (depending on what was chosen). Note: When DG technologies with heat recovery option (co-generation, or CHP) are utilized, a gas savings benefit is applied. A uniform thermal efficiency coefficient of 0.80 is used to derive thermal load from the natural gas use.
